Argentina president Alberto Fernandez has declared three days of mourning in respect of the legendary god of soccer Diego Maradona.
The 60-year-old former Barcelona and Napoli icon died earlier this week after returning home from the hospital after a surgery procedure.
Though no one has been able to confirm the cause of his death since it was confirmed on Wednesday, November 25, some quarters believe he died due to cardiac arrest.
And all attempts to revive him by the medical practitioners at that point failed as his case was beyond redemption.
However, it is quite unsure what activities would be lined up for the three days of national mourning for the World Cup winner.
But one is more certain, and it is celebrating and honouring his contributions to the development of football in the South American country.
Not only did he play for his country, but he also managed the national team and led them to the quarterfinals of the global football showpiece in South Africa 10 years ago.
They were dumped out of the competition by Germany who handed them a 4-0 defeat after the regulation period.
