Rapper Megan Thee Stallion celebrates her birthday on February 15th and this year, she has done so by changing her Instagram and Twitter names to ‘Tina Snow’. Who is Tina Snow and why did Meghan change it?
Popular rapper Megan Thee Stallion celebrates her 25th birthday today (February 15) and she has changed her social media handles to ‘Tina Snow’. The name is for her alter ego, which is just one of her many personas.
Who is Tina Snow?
Tina Snow is the name of one of many Megan Thee Stallion personalities. In a 2020 interview on The Zach Sang Show, the rapper explained each of her personalities.
Each of her different personalities is reflected in every single music drop.
Her first and main alter ego is Tina Snow, which is the name of her second EP. She said, “Tina Snow is the side of me that’s a little more gangster. She’s just foot-down, f*** y’all!” The mixtape was released in 2018 but her biggest song has been 2020’s ‘WAP’ with Cardi B due to the viral TikTok WAP dance trend.
Her inspiration for the name was taken from her favourite rapper Pimp C’s alter ego, ‘Tony Snow’. The tribute is a reflection of how his music influenced her confidence, which her music is known for. Her song lyrics are mostly sexually explicit and unapologetically confident.
The rapper has not commented on why she has changed her Instagram and Twitter names, but it might have something to do with her Tina Snow EP. Maybe a part 2 will be dropped soon?
Megan Thee Stallion’s other alter egos
Her other alter egos include ‘Hot Girl Meg’, which she adopted for her single Hot Girl Summer ft Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla Sign in 2019.
The song created the ‘hot girl summer’ meme, which Megan said was: “It’s just basically about women — and men — just being unapologetically them, just having a good-ass time”.
On the show Strahan, Sara, and Keke, the rapper said that ‘Hot Girl Meg’ was her “party girl, her college girl” not caring about other people’s opinion.
Her newest persona is Suga, named after her EP of the same title. This ego lets her fans know that it’s ok to not be perfect and to make mistakes.
