NCIS: Los Angeles tricked its viewers when they showed a familiar face on its newest episode on Sunday 14 February, but it was not actually Meghan Markle. It was lookalike actress Tiffany Smith, who played the Duchess in ‘Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal’.
Fans of NCIS: Los Angeles had been waiting a whole month for the newest episode to reach their screens. Not only were they pleased about its comeback, but they also saw a particular character who looked very similar to a Royal Family member.
The Valentine’s Day episode was called ‘The Frogman’s Daughter’, with its focus on Special Agent Sam Hanna searching for his kidnapped daughter.
Since her marriage to Prince Harry, The Duchess of Sussex has stepped down from Hollywood and her acting career as Rachel Zane in legal drama, Suits, in 2018.
So when viewers saw her on the screens on Sunday night, they did a double take to figure out whether that really was Meghan.
Was Meghan Markle on NCIS: Los Angeles?
Unfortunately, it was not Meghan Markle’s TV comeback. It was actress, Tiffany Smith, who is known for portraying the role of the Duchess in 2019 movie, ‘Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal’.
Just look at how convincing of a couple she looks with Charlie Field:
What was even more convincing was that Tiffany’s character was called DHS Agent Megan Merkel – the show was undoutbtedly poking fun at Tiffany’s previous role and her similarity with that name!
It’s definitely a coincidence that the royal couple also announced that they were expecting a second child on Valentine’s Day too.

According to her Instagram, she is guest starring on the episode for now. However, she did reply, “but you never know”, when a fan asked whether she will be a regular.
