Andy Jassy is set to take over from Jeff Bezos as Amazon CEO, but how do their net worth and salaries compare? Read on to find out.
Jassy joined Amazon in 1997, three years after the company was founded. He went on to found Amazon Web Services, a cloud hosting product that millions of companies, including Netflix and Capital One, use for their storage power and computing needs.

Who has a higher salary?

However, the true Amazon executives riches come from the stock bonuses they are awarded along with their salary. In 2017, Andy Jassy was the highest yearly earner at Amazon after AWS brought in $12.2 billion in profits, earning him $35.4 million in stocks.
That same year, Jeff Bezos received his $81,840 salary and no bonus stocks, considerably less than Jassy. However, Bezos’ wealth comes from his pre-existing Amazon shares.
