If you missed it, John Walsh, the former host of America’s Most Wanted, recently gave his theory on missing person Brian Laundrie. Walsh suggested that the 23-year-old could be in Mexico on ‘Gabby Petito: ID Special Report.’
So, where did this hypothesis originate, and is it wholly unfounded or does it include some truth? Everything is being dismantled.
When did Brian Laundrie go missing?
Gabby Petito’s former fiancé Brian Laundrie, 23, has been missing for around a month.
As per The Daily Mail, Laundrie’s parents told investigators that they’d last seen him on September 13th 2021.
Laundrie is considered a person of interest in Petito’s disappearance and death, which has been ruled as a homicide.
Why does John Walsh think Brian Laundrie is in Mexico?
Internet sleuths have thrown around a vast array of theories since Brian Laundrie’s disappearance, some even claiming that he’s hiding under a garden bed.
Now, former America’s Most Wanted host John Walsh has weighed in, suggesting that the missing man could have made it across the border to Mexico.
In a broadcast on television network ID that aired 13th October, Walsh shared: “It’s a great time to be heading south, because [there are] thousands of refugees.”
Walsh continued: “He could walk across the border naked with his hair on fire, and nobody would notice him. I think that’s maybe where he’s hiding — and somebody might be helping him.
“I believe they [Laundrie’s parents] might have given him a gun. I would hate to see someone else become a victim of this guy.
“But it’s still a wide open investigation and this guy could be anywhere.”
Whilst there is no solid evidence to support Walsh’s claims, a former FBI-agent, John MacVeigh, also recently came forward with a similar theory that Laundrie could likely have gone international.
At the time of publishing, it is important to note that it is not clear where Brian Laundrie is. FBI officers are focusing their search in the 24,565-acre Carlton Reserve, according to reports.
