Caroline Jurie and Chula Padmendra were both arrested on April 8th over the now-viral Mrs Sri Lanka incident.
According to Sri Lankan police spokesman Ajith Rohana, the pair were arrested after a complaint was received from the current Mrs Sri Lanka over injuries suffered when her crown was removed.
Rohana said they were arrested on April 8th on charges of “simple hurt and criminal force” and were released on bail. They have reportedly been ordered to appear at the courts on April 19th.
The incident in question was the grand-final of Mrs. Sri Lanka, a televised pageant for married women.
