“I am heartbroken to say that my Grandma Val passed away this morning. I can’t put into words what you are to me and our family- the Queen of our hearts. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for you and I’m glad the world got to see how much you mean to me.”
Who are Kalvin Phillips’ parents?
Kalvin Phillips has a very close relationship with his mother, Lindsay, and Grandma (Granny Val), and has previously said that they are “one of the main reasons” why he is at Leeds.

In an interview with The Times, Kalvin opened up about his father, saying:
“He’s been in and out my life since when I was young. He’s been in prison, out of prison. He got into the wrong crowd, drugs, fighting, anything you can name.”
Kalvin continued: “I’ve been to see him a few times but I don’t really like going in there and seeing him in prison. I’d rather speak over the phone. I speak to him every couple of weeks. He is proud of me. He’s Leeds. He’s lived in Leeds all his life.”
