MTN generates a revenue of about 1.43 billion Ghanaian cedis (US$246 million) in a year.
Total Petroleum Ghana
Total Petroleum Ghana Limited is one of the largest companies in Ghana with the largest work stations across the nation. It has network coverage of over 270 service stations in Ghana. The total has been in Ghana for 60 years and they work hand in hand with the Aviation, Bitumen, and Mining industries and also the Manufacturing and roads sectors. In 2019, Total’s contribution to the Ghanaian economy hit GHC 400 billion.
Ghana Oil Company
Ghana Oil Company, mainly known as GOIL, is a state-owned Ghanaian oil and gas marketing company, formed on 14 June 1960. The government holds 51% of GOIL shares while the remaining 49% is owned by individual contributors. Basically, GOIL is into a lot of products such as diesel, lubricants, aviation fuel among others. In 2019, GOIL was able to record an 8% growth in sales. GOIL’s asset value stood at $120 million as of 2019.

Produce Buying Company is a Ghanaian-owned cocoa bean company established on November 13, 1981. They are one of the biggest companies that deals in cocoa, shea nut, and other cash crops across the sub-regions of West Africa. In 2019, PBC was able to make a total revenue of $414 million
NEWMONT GOLDEN RIDGE LIMITED
Newmont Golden Ridge Limited is Ghana’s richest mining company. They specialize in mining Gold, copper, and silver. Newmont Golden Ridge Limited currently has the biggest gold reserves among other mining companies in Ghana. In 2019, they were able to generate a net income of $780 million, Newmont has over 425 total employees across all of its locations.
Tullow Oil PLC is an Iranian company that opened its branch in Ghana in 2017 with its Jubilee oil field presently in Ghana. The Companies branch in Ghana brings the most profits as it produces 30,000 barrels of oil a day. According to information available on tullowoil.com, they generated about $1,683 million in revenue in 2019.
Ghana Commercial Bank GCB
Ghana Commercial Bank is the biggest bank in Ghana. It has more than 200 branches and 1700 employees across the country. The Government of Ghana owns and controls 21% of the bank’s shares while the rest is controlled by individual shareholders. In 2019, GCB posted that they were able to make GHS 340 million in revenue.
Ghana National Petroleum Corporation
Ghana National Petroleum Company was founded in 1983 to make sure it generates revenue that will support the country’s growth. As of 2020, they have revealed that they made about $300 million in revenue.

Zoomlion Ghana is a waste management company in Ghana. Zoomlion is by far one of the richest company’s in Ghana founded in 2006 by Dr. Joseph Siaw. Zoomlion has about 3000 core employees and 85000 managed staff. Zoomlion has accumulated a total of GHS6.7 billion in 2019.

Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited is one of the largest brewing companies in Ghana. It has the largest number of consumers. In 2019, the company was able to make GHS658,468 from its total assets.
