Travis The Chimp’s attack video on Charla Mash is again being searched on the internet after a decade of the incident.
Travis The Chimp was a star chimpanzee who appeared in several television shows and movies including Pepsi ad in the early 2000s. He could be considered a star animal at that time as his performance was loved by all.
However, when an animal is involved in working with people, mishaps are prone if the environment is handled properly. The case with Travis was no exception which resulted in mauling an innocent Charla Mash. Further, the chimpanzee had to be shot tragically by the police force.
Mauling: Travis The Chimp Victim Charla Nash
Travis The Chimp attacked his owner Sandra’s friend Charla in 2009. It was February 16, 3:30 PM and Sandra was with her pet in the car to meet her Charla. Upon seeing Travis and Sandra Charla went to help Chimp get out.
This, however, did not come out well because Charla had Chimp’s fav toy in her hand. Even though she was familiar with the pet, that day she has a different hair partition. It might have confused the animal and he got over the 55-year-old woman resulting in life-threatening injuries on her face and limbs.
Sandra did try to get him off but all in vain. She called 911 for help. When they arrived, the damage was already done. The chimp was still in a rage and was in the mood to attack the police officers as well. But one of them shot him three times and the animal died on spot.
