What happened to the woman from the video?
User sixtwentyseven, Ishea finally gave an update on what happened to the woman who was screaming in distress. Ishea revealed that the police eventually came and checked on the woman.
She stated: “care was administered to her. She was taken to the hospital, but I have no further update about what happened to her beyond that.” Ishea also spoke about mental health as she said: “Living in a city like Seattle, it is not uncommon for people to not have the resources to properly care for their mental health or housing due to addiction. So, unfortunately, it is not uncommon to hear someone screaming like that in the middle of the day.”
She continued: “When I looked down my window and saw her face, I was truly shocked. A little bit scared because I had never seen someone like that. I posted it to TikTok out of morbid curiosity as this had happened in the middle of the day, in a big neighborhood, surrounded by people.”
She concluded the post by saying, “I think this is a reminder that this is a real person and even in like nosiness, you still have to have compassion.” The video definitely prompted people to take mental health more seriously.
