Diana Llewellyn and Desmond Jackson are the parents of Shericka Jackson.
Shericka Jackson’s parents are no longer together. Her mother Diane is reportedly married to Karl Christie.
After winning a bronze medal in the 400m at the 2016 Rio Olympics, her mother Diana Llewellyn said, “Words cannot explain how happy and proud I feel. It feels good,”. “The community it’s like the community mash up, and everybody celebrating with us,” she added.
In 2021, Shericka’s father Desmond, in an interview with The Sunday Gleaner hail her for winning bronze medal in the 100-metre final.
‘You make me feel comfortable; me love you for that and many more reasons’.
“Keep up the good work, I feel so proud,” said Jackson.
“Mi like how you make we feel, the whole district. You make mi feel comfortable and I like that; and I love you for that and many more reasons,” he continued. “Big up yourself, you hear girl. And mi a look for many more from you. The best left a back. Big up yourself and take care and hold the faith. Love you.”
Shericka Jackson is a Jamaican multiple Olympic and World Championship medallist, who won bronze medal in the 400m at the 2016 Rio Olympics but switched to shorter distances in 2021.
Shericka was born July 16, 1994, in St Ann, Jamaica. She attended Steer Town Academy, where she commenced her track career before transferring to Vere Techincal High School.
In her longtime signature event of 400 m, she won bronze medals at the 2016 Olympics, 2015 World Championships and 2019 World Championships.
In the same competitions, Jackson added medals in the 4 x 400 m relays, taking silver, gold and bronze, respectively. She earned also the gold medal in the 4 x 100 m relay at the 2019 World Championship. In the 2021 season, she won the bronze medal in the 100 metres at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The 28-year-old Shericka is the inference of 2022. She has set a buzz ahead of the World Athletics Championships in Oregon since winning the 100m bronze in Tokyo Olympics.
Shericka Jackson has a brother named Ian Jackson.
