The New York Giants selected Odell Beckham Jr. in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. One of the most iconic events in NFL history was Beckham’s one-handed touchdown catch against the Dallas Cowboys in November of his rookie season. He has 38 receptions, 593 receiving yards, and two touchdowns in the month of September. As a freshman this year, Beckham set several rookie records, including the most consecutive games with 90 or more receiving yards. It wasn’t until the end of December that he became the only rookie in NFL history to have at least 12 catches for 140 yards and three touchdowns in the same game. Beckham tallied a career-high 185 receiving yards in the Eagles’ last regular season game, the highest by a rookie in franchise history. With just 12 games under his belt, he racked up 91 receptions, 1,305 yards, and 12 touchdowns.
Controversy surrounded Beckham’s season in 2015, including many clashes with Josh Norman. Beckham was whistled three times for personal fouls in a game against the Panthers of Carolina. When the NFL Disciplinary Committee found him guilty of repeated safety infractions in December, they suspended him from one game without pay. In spite of these obstacles, Beckham concluded the season with career-highs of 1,450 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns. Following a dance-celebration during a game against the Dallas Cowboys, Beckham was penalized again for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty against the New Orleans Saints. Resilient in Week 3, he set an all-time record by becoming the fastest player to amass 200 receptions (in just 30 games). After breaking his left ankle, Beckham was out for the most of 2017. His final season with the Giants saw him catch 77 passes for 1,052 yards, with six touchdowns.
Although things were looking up in 2020, Beckham had to leave the Week 7 game against the Bengals due to a knee injury. The next day, it was revealed that he had suffered from a torn ACL, placing him on injured reserve for the remainder of the season. Beckham finished his shortened season with 23 catches for 319 yards and three receiving touchdowns.

Involved in charity and advocacy, Beckham has helped to raise money and awareness for hunger, cancer research, and disaster relief. In 2016, he donated $500,000 in his jersey sales to help out with flooding repairs in Louisiana. The next year, he donated $100,000 of his own money to Americares and Samaritan’s Purse in order to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
