Between November and January, the police portal is typically open for six weeks, but it can be opened for longer, as in 2022. So, how do you apply, and what do you need to apply?

In 2022, what are the Nigerian police recruitment requirements?

The NPF has laid out the various academic, behavioral, and physical requirements.

  • A candidate must have a passion for a career in the NPF.
  • A candidate must possess Nigerian citizenship by birth.
  • All applications must be filled and submitted online.
  • Applicants must be psychologically, physically, and medically fit.
  • Candidates must be aged between 18 and 25 years.
  • To join the displined forces, candidates should be free of any pecuniary embarrassment.
  • Every applicant must have a valid phone number, email address, and national identification number (NIN) before commencing an application.
  • Female candidates should not be pregnant at the time of recruitment.
  • Male applicants must have expanded chest measurements not less than 86 centimetres.
  • Male candidates should be at least 167 centimetres tall, while females should be at least 164 centimetres tall.
  • One must have a minimum of 5 credits in at most two sittings in NABTEB, NECO, GCE, or WASSCE, with credit passes in mathematics and English.
  • One must have scanned copies of the original O-Level result slip.

In light of the numerous applications currently being submitted, the following are the most significant NPF recruitment updates of the day.

Southern states have recorded very low applications

There have been very few applications from Nigeria’s southeastern states for the 2021-2022 NPF recruitment. By January 2022, only 1404 of the more than 80,000 applications had been received from the five southeastern states of the country.

According to the figures, these states received less than 2% of the total number of applications.

The 2022 registration deadline has been extended

Good news for police recruitment: The NPF has extended the registration deadline for 2022 until midnight on January 22nd 2022. The NPF’s application deadline has been extended to accommodate those citizens who are interested in joining.

The recruitment portal will now remain open for an additional ten days after the previous deadline of January 12 as a result of the deadline extension.

It is necessary to use the Nigeria Police recruitment portal to complete and submit an application in order to join the NPF. There is still time to sign up for the exams as the portal will be open until the 22nd of January.
