As if Natasha Bedingfield’s “Unwritten” hadn’t been enough of a hit already, the song is now trending on TikTok and has its own dance.
British singer-songwriter Natasha rose to fame in the early 2000’s. Her debut album, “Unwritten” was released in 2004 and her song of the same name gained popularity in 2006 after being featured as the theme song in MTV’s The Hills’ opening sequence. Now, the song is growing in popularity again as it’s remixed on TikTok.

Natasha Bedingfield has become a TikTok sensation now that her 2004 song has been featured in many user’s videos.
The TikTok audio “Esco Like Yhop ft. Shawn P” has taken off in 2021 with many people dancing to the song which is actually a remix of Natasha Bedingfield’s “Unwritten“.
TikTok users such as @gleefuljhits and @escoupp have created dance videos using the song and so has celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and his daughter, Matilda.

There are a couple of variations of the “Esco Like Yhop ft. Shawn P” dance (AKA the Natasha Bedingfield dance).
TikTok user @escoupp looks to have created an “original” dance on TikTok, but the majority of people are following the same steps as @gleefuljhits, Gordon Ramsay and Noah Beck.
The dance begins by walking across the camera shot swinging your arms by your sides, often recorded in a group, the dancers walk back across the camera, dancing and walking at the same time.
Natasha responds to the TikTok dance
Natasha Bedingfield also jumped on board the viral trend. The singer took to TikTok herself and followed @gleefuljhits dance steps.
The @gleefuljhits video sees three women doing the dance which involves them showing their underwear at one point! Natasha completed the dance and wrote a caption stating that the trend was a “beautiful surprise“. She also wrote of the TikTok trend: “It’s a real joy to attempt to keep up (even if I make a fool of myself!)“.
Natasha tagged @rony_boyy as the first person to create a dance to the song and also shared her reaction to his dance video.
