African-American actress Keke Palmer, also a singer, songwriter, and talk show host, is best known for her roles in ‘Akeelah and the Bee’ (2006), ‘True Jackson, VP’ (2008–2011), and ‘Scream Queens’ (2015–2016 ).
Palmer, who champions children’s learning, does a lot of philanthropy through her work with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America’s Cool To Be Smart program, among many other charities.
Biography (Age)
Keke Palmer was born Lauren Keyana Palmer in Harvey, Illinois on August 26, 1993 to her parents; Sharon and Larry Palmer. Her father works for a polyurethane/plastics manufacturing company while her mother was a middle and high school teacher for autistic students. However, before settling into their respective full-time jobs, Mr. and Mrs. Palmer worked as professional actors, actually meeting in drama school.
It was therefore not a surprise to her when her daughter decided to pursue an acting career, which she fully supported. At around age 5, Keke Palmer began performing at her local church, where she reportedly wowed audiences. She soon moved to a larger audience and a more suitable stage when she began performing at a popular Chicago destination.
In 2002, she unsuccessfully starred in a stage production of The Lion King. Two years later, she made her film debut in Barbershop 2: Back in Business (2004). Her performance in the film gave her the opportunity to convince her parents, who probably didn’t need much convincing (since their daughter might have had a chance to pursue a career they didn’t have), to move to Los Angeles, California get better chances.
In California, while attending various auditionstaking a break, Palmer began flirting with music. Her voice and songs impressed some music executives and led to a record deal with Atlantic Records in 2005. She has also had a few supporting roles in television series such as ‘Cold Case’, ‘Strong Medicine’, ‘ER’, and ‘Law & Order: SVU’.
In 2006, Palmer landed what turned out to be her breakthrough role on Akeelah and the Bee, which also soundtracked her debut single All My Girlz. She appeared alongside Samuel L. Jackson in ‘Cleaner’ (2007) and the Disney film ‘Jump In!’ (2007) before releasing her debut album So Uncool in the same year.
In recent years, Keke Palmer has been seen hosting her own talk show on the BET network, titled “Just Keke.” She has also published her memoir, I’m Not Yours: Quiet the Noise and Find Your Voice, when she stars in Lee Daniels’ Star as Gigi Nixon and in Scream as Kym.

Lawrencia, who is famously referred to as Rennie by her family and friends, were in the news after her famous older sister posted pictures to Instagram of them getting very close and kissing during Thanksgiving. What many publications called strange was simply an older sister showing so much love for her younger sibling who grew up to be a young lady.

The multiple NAACP Image Award winner is said to have an estimated net worth of around $7.5 million thanks to her career as a singer and actress. Most notably, Miss Palmer was paid about $20,000 per episode of the Nickelodeon sitcom True Jackson, VP, in which she starred. This makes her the fourth highest-paid child actress on television.

Keke Palmer has said in the past that she’s just a fun date and doesn’t want to do anything serious due to her commitment to her career.
