Kathy Lamkin was an American actress, producer and casting director.
Born in Graham, Texas on December 10, 1947, Lamkin earned a SAG Award as part of the cast of the Coen Brothers’ acclaimed 2007 film.
Kathy Lamkin stood at a height of 5 feet 5 inches (1.65 m) tall.
She continued acting at Texas Women’s University before settling in Houston.
While in Texas, she remained active in commercials and theatre and ran her own company, Unicorn School of Acting and later the performing wing, USA Theatre.
Lamkin moved to Los Angeles in 2002. Her first TV role in Hollywood was in “Malcolm in the Middle”, opposite Jane Kaczmarek.
She starred in 46 films and TV projects between 1990 and 2014 and was recognized for her role as The Tea Lady in both Marcus Nispel’s 2003 remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Jonathan Liebesman’s 2006 film, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning.

The No Country For Old Men star, Kathy Lamkin, died on April 4 after a short illness, her family tells Deadline.
“Kathy will be missed by her family and friends,” the family says, “and left an impact on all she that encountered during her life on this Earth.”
Kathy was 74 at the time of her demise.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Jerry and Donald, and her sisters Jeannie Guinn and Jeannette Oreschnigg.
Kathy Lamkin is survived by her husband Stephen L. Lamkin; her daughter Kati; her son Greg and his wife Jamie; and grandchildren Benjamin and Morgan.
Lamkin’s obituary and memorial service are yet to be announced by the family.
