Framing Britney Spears’ allowed the singer’s fans to view how conservatorship changed her life. However, one question many had in their mind was, where is Britney’s mom, and are her parents still married?
People have been trying to help Britney even before the documentary premiered. Several fans have often taken to Twitter and made the ‘Free Britney’ trend. Some even felt concerned about her after looking at her social media posts. Even though Britney has not commented on her conservatorship recently, fans still want to make sure the singer is doing fine.
Where is Britney Spears mom?
Britney and her father, Jamie Spears are not on good terms. Amid this, many have wondered what happened to Britney’s mother. Britney’s mother, Lynne Spears, has not come in public as often as one would expect. However, she reportedly still helps her daughter in any way she can.
The pair had fallen out where they suffered a period of estrangement for a while. However, in the end, they were able to work on their differences. Last year, it was reported that Britney wanted her mother to be part of her conservatorship. At the moment, her father has most of the right.
“Britney has always struggled with her mental health so Lynne’s concern for Britney is never-ending. She is her mother and hates to see her suffer,” a source told ET. “Lynne filed for transparency to keep an eye on the finances because she knows Britney has her ups and downs. She has been doing much better; she is in regular therapy and exercising. Lynne sees a huge improvement.” The source further revealed that Britney and her mother are on good terms now.
Britney’s parents are not together. The pair got a divorce in 2002 after being together for 30 years. Britney had reflected on the divorce in one of her interviews as she noted, “It’s the best thing that’s ever happened to my family.” She further added, “mom and dad, bottom line, do not get along.”
In 2020, the pair showcased their difference of opinion on Britney’s conservatorship rule. “Britney’s family is at war with each other and it’s all because of the conservatorship,” a source close to the family told US Weekly.
“Lynne wants a care plan established that would transition Britney’s personal life out of the conservatorship. Jamie has told her that Britney needs long-term monitoring, and he doesn’t think she is prepared to take such drastic action,” the source further adds. “With the conservatorship being extended until the beginning of 2021, Jamie was relieved because all he wants is to keep Britney safe and at her best.” As of now, Britney is still under conservatorship.
