Twitter fans came together to call out some of the users who had been making fun of Jisoo. The fans decided to speak up about an important topic such as xenophobia and made the “xenophobia is not a joke” trend. However, some were left confused as to what happened.

Jisoo started trending on Twitter as many fans tweeted about respecting her. Fans noticed Jisoo is asked to speak in English on countless occasions. Several users have often commented on her live and asked if she can speak in English.
Her fans were quick to remind everyone how Jisoo is a Korean, and it is not important for her to speak in English. Even though the singer has willingly tried to speak in English, fans are upset to see the number of times people around her force her to speak in that language. At the same time, fans criticized others for making fun of her accent as she tried to speak in another language.
Several people were quick to comment on this as one wrote, “Jisoo does NOT need to speak english just to make things easier for you. STOP COMMENTING for her to speak english on lives. STOP MOCKING her for not having native fluency. Jisoo deserves better!”
