Disneyland Paris has opened its exciting Marvel Avengers Campus, which is the first-ever Marvel-themed universe in Europe.
The Campus offers live-action stunts, superhero meetings, action-packed attractions, and special themed restaurants to give guests the ultimate Avengers experience.
Visitors can engage in interactive dance-offs with Star-Lord and Gamora, watch as Black Widow and Black Panther team up on the roof of Spider-Man W.E.B adventure to protect Avengers Campus, and keep a look out for Thor searching for recruits who are worthy to raise his hammer.
Marvel Avengers Campus opens in Disneyland Paris
To create the Avengers Campus, Walt Disney Imagineering teams in Paris and around the world have worked alongside the teams that brought the Avengers films, TV series and comics to life. They have designed a campus filled with interactivity, excitement, and superheroes.
You can meet Spider-Man, Iron Man or Captain Marvel in the Hero Training Center. For the first time in a Disney Park, a dynamic “freeze frame” video sequence – created by Disney PhotoPass™ with 27 cameras all around the action – can “capture these meetings with Captain Marvel or Iron Man and turn them into unforgettable moments.”
Visitors to the Campus are called “recruits” and there are plenty of experiences to take part in from attractions and meeting superheroes, to trying out the various food trucks and restaurants.
Hop on the Avengers Campus rides
Avengers Campus includes a new high-speed rollercoaster called Avengers Assemble: Flight Force. This attraction features a new generation Audio-Animatronic© Iron Man, which is the first-ever Avenger Audio-Animatronics© figure in a Disney Park.
On the coaster, recruits will embark and fly up through space in a vehicle that Tony Stark has equipped with a homing device, to lure the threat away from planet Earth, according to the press release. Riders must be 120cm tall to ride.
The other ride in the Avengers Campus is called Spider-Man W.E.B Adventure. Riders will be given web-slinging superpowers “accomplished through innovative technology created specifically for this attraction.” You will team up with Spider-Man and help capture out-of-control Spider-Bots by reaching out your hands and slinging webs from your wrists. After, you can see how many Spider-Bots you caught as a team in your vehicle.
Grab a bite to eat
The Campus contains several different places to eat. Pym Kitchen is an innovative science lab where you can try gigantic pretzel sandwiches, hot dogs, burgers, cakes, and tiny versions too! Just as Ant-Man and The Wasp use “Pym Particles” to grow and shrink, Pym Technologies “applies this science to the creation of shareable bites.”
You can also grab a bite to eat at the quick service restaurant Stark Factory which serves homemade pizzas, salads, and fresh pasta. The WEB-Worldwide Eating Brigade truck serves a variety of Asian noodles and coconut balls. Nearby is the FAN-tastic Food Truck where you can munch on hot dogs, and cheesecake on a stick for dessert.
However, the options don’t end there, as the Campus also houses the Super Diner, a traditional American restaurant serving Reuben Sandwiches.
