Hayley Hasselhoff, David Hasselhoff’s daughter, has become European Playboy’s first ‘curve’ model after she landed the cover of the German edition.
Hayley has landed the cover of Playboy’s German publication, becoming the first-ever ‘curve’ model to grace the cover of the magazine in Europe.
Previously, Playboy made history when Fluvia Lacerda became the magazine’s first plus-size model, gracing the cover of the Brazilian edition.
Hayley has often spoken in interviews about how she hopes to be a source of inspiration for plus-size models.
Hayley Hassehoff becomes European Playboy’s first ‘curve’ model
Taking to her Instagram profile on Wednesday (April 14th), Hayley revealed the pictures from her Playboy’s cover shoot.
“I am deeply humbled and honoured to be the first ever curve model on a European cover of PLAYBOY @playboygermany,” she wrote in her caption. She said she is “overcome with emotion around what this cover signifies for inclusivity and its greater purpose towards female empowerment”.
“I wanted to use this platform to express that you have the power to love your body without hesitation because of societies’ standards of beauty,” Hayley continued. “You’ve made me feel like I could take ownership of myself.”
Hayley, 28, daughter of David Hasselhoff and Pamela Bach, rose to fame for her role as Amber in the the series Huge. She also competed in The X Factor: Celebrity in 2019.
Hayley Hasselhoff: Size
- Hayley’s size is 12-14 (UK) which is size 8-10 in the US and 40-42 in European size.
Speaking to Today.com back in 2014, the model and actress said that her size was 12-14.
Hayley revealed that she has been a ‘plus-size’ model since the age of 14 and that she hopes to be a source of inspiration to other models. She added in the interview:
“Because I’ve been a ‘plus-size’ model since I was 14, I only look at the word with love and light, and there’s nothing else anyone can say about it.”
Hayley speaks about the perks of being a ‘curve’ model
In a previous interview with People, Hayley talked about the perks of being a plus-size model and cleared out a common misconception in the fashion industry.
“People have this conception of plus size models as girls who aren’t fit or don’t work out or don’t really take care of their bodies,” she said, explaining that though there’s no one-size-fits-all definition of a plus-size model, as they “are probably the most toned and fit models you’ll see on the runway because they’re so body conscious.”
