It premiered internationally on Wednesday, March 24th 2021 and audiences are curious to feast their eyes as the monsters face each other down. So, here’s where to watch Godzilla vs Kong in the UK and US…
Where to watch Godzilla vs Kong in the UK and US
- Godzilla vs Kong will be available as a premium VOD rental on the likes of Amazon Prime Video and iTunes from Thursday, April 1st 2021. United States audiences will be able to watch the film in cinemas and on HBO Max from Wednesday, March 31st 2021.
Perhaps this won’t surprise UK viewers, as Empire notes that Warner Bros. released such titles as Wonder Woman 1984, Judas And The Black Messiah, The Witches and The Little Things in the same way.

As for what to expect, the film will serve as a continuation of both Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla: King of the Monsters; it is the fourth instalment of Legendary’s MonsterVerse.
These two titans encounter one another and threaten the fate of humanity as they violently clash. Meanwhile, Kong’s protectors are searching for his home and an orphan in their company, Jia, befriends the creature.
However, there is something mysterious and sinister causing these behemoths to fight. All will be revealed in Godzilla vs Kong.
Is the 2021 movie on Netflix?
No, Godzilla vs Kong is not available to stream on Netflix.
The Hollywood Reporter highlights that Netflix made an offer of over $200 million for the film, although WarnerMedia ultimately blocked the deal before making an offer to HBO Max.
Adam Wingard on Godzilla vs Kong
In conversation with Collider, Adam emphasised the importance of making Kong and Godzilla characters to emotionally invest in:
“… for me that was one of the most important things going into this film was treating Godzilla and King Kong like actual characters, that they’re not just these big props that are kind of in the background, or, you know, they’re just big monsters. It’s like they have personalities and they have definitive things that they will and won’t do…”
He added: “… and so it was always trying to bring that out first and foremost, and unfortunately for us the kind of the evolution of these films has come to a point where I kind of reap the benefits of all the prior directors work…”
