This recipe is by Sabrina Snyder, a chef who first posted it on the food site Dinner then Dessert, she altered an existing recipe, which so far has been highly rated sitting at 4.9/5 Stars on the website.
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard

- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
To make this she mixes it all up and lets the mixture sit in the fridge until cold. So, fans can bank that for a rainy sauce-less day! Please note: The above recipe belongs to the aforementioned author and chef.
Where did Chick-fil-A sauce originate from?
The original recipe was made up by a Chick-fil-A employee in the early ’80s named Hugh Fleming, who is now retired. Fleming whipped up a recipe he knew with honey mustard after employees requested a sauce. He made a recipe he knew and employees enjoyed it.
However, according to Reader’s Digest, the concoction wasn’t the sauce everyone knows and loves until an employee accidentally dropped barbecue sauce into it, which is what gave it that special blend that fans can’t get enough of. Following this, the sauce was used with a commercial mixer and made by the gallon-full.
