Dylan earned a spot on the 2021 and 2022 American Arnold Palmer Cup teams. In the Palmer Cup over the course of two seasons, Dylan has a 5-3 record and has won three games in the 2022 competition that was hosted in Switzerland.
The competitive golfer competed in the U.S. Amateur in 2018 and 2020–22 and won the Northeast Amateurs in 2021 and 2022. Before transferring to North Carolina University, Menante played for the Pepperdine Waves for three seasons, from 2019 to 2022. The second-best freshman average in school history for Dylan at Pepperdine was 70.95. He played in seven tournaments during his rookie season, totaled 16 under par over 21 rounds, finished in three of the top ten positions, and placed in five of the top twenty. He earned bronze honors on the WCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll and was a Pepperdine Scholar-Athlete.
During his second season, Dylan contributed to Pepperdine’s NCAA championship success. In addition to being named to the third team of the GCAA, Golfweek All-America, and West Coast Conference Player of the Year, he also won awards for All-WCC and PING All-West Region. Dylan averaged a team-best 70.74 during his second year at Pepperdine, placing fifth overall in school history. During his junior season, Dylan led Pepperdine to a tie for third place in the NCAA Championship and the national semifinals. Menante transferred to North Carolina University after the 2022 NCAA Final. Ten days after his junior year ended, he decided to leave Pepperdine, shocking everyone. Menante provided several justifications for his abrupt departure to Global Golf Post.
Dylan said he and his coach didn’t get along all that well. They were very different from him, being much more extroverted, and he found it difficult to start off a discussion with them. Dylan also admitted that he didn’t feel as great while he lived away from the campus. Menante anticipated having a more conventional college experience at a prestigious public university after leaving a small, isolated, private Christian school. This was not the case at Pepperdine.
