He grew up in a Canoga Park in California with his older brother Kyle and younger sister Amy. Due to his father’s unsuccessful entertainment career, he was unable to provide for his family, leading him to leave them when Cranston was 11 years old. Shortly thereafter, they lost their family home because they could not pay the mortgage in 1968, forcing Cranston and Kyle to live with their grandparents for some time.
