Born on February 18, 1956, in Lagos, Nigeria, Ben Murray-Bruce comes from a remarkable lineage. His parents, Mullighan Murray-Bruce, a diligent public servant with the UAC, and Margaret Murray-Bruce, both hailed from Akassa, Bayelsa State.
In Lagos, Ben attended esteemed institutions: he began his educational journey at Our Lady of Apostles in Yaba and continued at St Gregory’s College in Obalende for his primary and secondary education, respectively. His quest for knowledge later took him to the United States, where he earned a degree in Marketing from the University of Carolina.
Initially, business wasn’t on Ben’s radar, as he once aspired to be a history professor. However, fate had other plans. He started working at Domino Stores, a department store owned by his father, which unexpectedly became his gateway into the business world. It wasn’t long before he dabbled in show business.
