Actor Jeremy Renner, most known for playing the role of Hawkeye in the Avengers franchise, is currently in a “critical but stable” condition after a weather-related accident.
Renner, 51, was the only party involved in the snow-ploughing accident in Reno and was airlifted to a nearby hospital.
A storm in the region led to thousands of home suffering power cuts and road closures across Northern California and Nevada.

Jeremy Renner was seriously injured while plowing snow on the weekend. A spokesperson for the Hurt Locker actor said that he is in a “critical but stable condition”.
They told the Hollywood Reporter that he has injuries “suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while ploughing snow earlier today”.
“His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care,” the continued.
Renner owns a ranch in the Sierra Nevada mountains above Lake Tahoe and the region was hit by a winter storm on New Year’s Eve.
The actor previously said that the snowfall in Lake Tahoe is “no joke,” and shared a photo of snow in the region on Twitter earlier in December.
What is a “critical but stable” condition?
Critical condition means that a person’s vital signs are unstable and outside of their normal limits, according to WebMD. They may also be unconscious or in need of “critical” care in a hospital’s intensive care unit.
Under The American Hospital Association (AHA) guidelines to describe patient conditions, “critical” is the most severe condition. It follows after good, fair and serious.
