Transfer rumour: Liverpool take lead in Jude Bellingham race as Real Madrid back down

After rumors surfaced that Real Madrid would not be willing to pay the €150 million asking price for prized Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham Liverpool is reportedly the favorite to sign him

After rumors surfaced that Real Madrid would not be willing to pay the €150 million asking price for prized Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, Liverpool is reportedly the favorite to sign him.

Bellingham, 19, has distinguished himself as one of football’s top prospects after scoring in four straight games to start his team’s Champions League run this year, one of which was against Manchester City.

Bellingham, who has already earned 17 caps for England, is anticipated to play a significant role at the World Cup, and a masterful performance could persuade some of the biggest clubs in the world to offer what would be a record fee for an Englishman.

Real Madrid Scoff at Bellingham Asking Price

Sport claims that Bellingham is Real Madrid’s top target for the transfer window, but they have no plans to match Dortmund’s asking price.

Bellingham is reportedly also interested in Madrid, and the club will work to reduce the asking price to a level they find more reasonable.

According to prior reports, Manchester United also believes they have a chance once Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract is off their books. Liverpool has no qualms about making what would be a club-record signing.
