Transfer: Nigeria-eligible, Destiny Udogie joins Tottenham on five-year deal

Nigeria-eligible defender, Destiny Udogie has joined the English Premier League side, Tottenham Hotspur, from Italian outfit, Udinese on a permanent deal.
The former Verona man penned a five-year deal with Spurs. However, he is expected to return to Udinese on loan until June 2023.
According to transfer market expert, Fabrizio Romano, the fee is around 18 million euros, including add-on bonuses.
Meanwhile, Udogie has expressed delight over his switch to Tottenham, describing it as a “dream come true”.
He said it was an easy choice, adding that he is proud to join the team.
“It was an easy choice for me, I’m proud to join a top club like Tottenham”, Udogie said.
“It’s a dream for me to join a top club like Tottenham. It was an easy choice as they’ve Antonio Conte, really top manager”.
Although, Destiny Udogie was born and raised in Italy, he is qualified to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria through his parents, despite representing Italy at the youth levels.
