Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has confirmed that Brazilian midfielder, Carlos Casimiro is set to leave Santiago Bernabéu.

Ancelotti said the 30-year-old defensive midfielder is keen on a move to Premier League club, Manchester United.

“I have spoken with Casemiro. He wants to try a new challenge. We understand his decision,” he told a press conference on Friday.

“Negotiations are ongoing but he has decided to leave Real Madrid.”

He also confirmed Casimiro will not be available for their next match.

“Casemiro will not play on Saturday. Replacement? We have signed Tchouaméni and he’s one of the best on the market. Then we have Kroos and Camavinga”.

“Yesterday I realised it was a real thing [Casemiro to Man Utd]. My plans won’t change”.

Ancelotti explained that Casemiro’s departure will not affect the club’s midfield, noting that there are enough replacements.

“My plans are not gonna change with Casemiro leaving as we have Modrić, Kroos, Tchouaméni, Ceballos, Fede Valverde, Camavinga.”

“Six midfielders are enough for this season. They’re very, very good,” he added.

Meanwhile, Casemiro has reportedly communicated also to Real Madrid teammates that he has “accepted Man United bid – already saying goodbye to all of them”, according to transfer market expert, Fabrizio Romano

Casemiro and his agents are waiting for the clubs to complete the agreement then he will travel to England.
