    She was named Elizabeth Stamatina Fey when she was born on May 18, 1970 in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. She lost her father in 2015, but while he was alive he worked as a Korean War Veteran and also served as an administrator at the University of Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson University. Her mother, Zenobia Jeanne, worked as a realtor before she retired. She has an older brother named Peter.

    After her father’s death, the comic actresses started a scholarship fund in her father’s name at Temple University to honor him. In searching for her roots, we discovered that her maternal family are immigrants to the United States of America from Greece, while her father is of English, German, Northern Irish and Scottish descent. In other words, Tina Fey is a woman of mixed ethnicity.

    Everyone expected Tina Fey to launch her careerAfter graduating from university, she decided to work for someone and later took a job as a receptionist at the YMCA in Evanston while taking night classes in the Second City. Lady Luck smiled at the same time and she got an offer from NBC to write for the famous TV show Saturday Night Live (SNL). This job skyrocketed her fame and she soon became the first female writer NBC has ever had.

    Although she achieved a degree of fame, Tina Fey was still working behind the scenes as a reporter on the 26th episode of SNL until her television debut. During the same period, she kept herself busy creating comedy sketches and nurturing her career as a joke writer. For the first time in her career, she wrote a screenplay entitled Mean Girls . Then she started working on another comedy series called 30 Rock on the same television network, which saw nominations for the 2007 Emmy Award for Most Outstanding Comedy Series.

    The show soon won the G Alter Globus award in 2008 and announced Tina Fey for Best Comic Actress in the same year. That wasn’t all, the following year the show continued to win Golden Globe Awards, and Tina also added the Screen Actors Award to her archive that year. By the end of the show, it had received 13 Emmy Awards and was considered the best television series of all time.
