Bobrisky versus Tonto Dikeh beef
Bobrisky and Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh fit the maxim “best friends turned worst enemies.” Before their fall, the duo were known for professing love to each other on social media.
However, their six-year-old relationship turned sour in 2020. The best friends had gone on a trip to Dubai sometime in November, 2019, and Tonto Dikeh was arrested by the Dubai police according to Bobrisky because she was caught with some illegal substances (weed). A claim that the actress debunked.
It appears the Dubai trip dramas cost them their friendship.
In an Instagram post, Bobrisky said: “We stopped talking in 2020. Fast forward to your arrest in Dubai Tonto. You insulted the Dubai police because you were drunk and high. I tried my best to control you back then and I couldn’t. Dubai police locked you up for two days in their cell, nobody knew where you were locked up…”
Bob further claimed that he paid for their hotel bills and feeding while they were stuck in Dubai for three months, adding that none of Tonto Dikeh’s “so-called boyfriends” came to her rescue despite her constantly begging them for help. “I was the only soul who stood by you.”
Bobrisky accused Tonto of living a fake life and owing him N5 million.
Responding in an Instagram live chat with media personality, Daddy Freeze, Tonto Dikeh blasted the crossdresser, explaining how disgusted she felt whenever she had a misunderstanding with Bobrisky.
She said that unlike her, Bobrisky has refused to move on from their bitter friendship and used every opportunity to slander her.
“I’m the kind of person that when I’m done with you, I want to be done with you. I have a mental burial in my head, a funeral for you in my head. Bob is gone and forgotten. You will never see me talk about him on social media or among my friends. But this guy will always jump at issues that have to do with me. I put so much into anything I am involved in,” she said.
Bobrisky later shared a post on his Instagram page begging Tonto to forgive him for calling her out on social media.
He urged the mother of one to forgive him, promising never to do such again. But Tonto Dikeh had remained adamant about his plea.
Rivalry with James Brown
Bobrisky was enjoying a monopoly as Nigeria’s only influential cross-dresser then come James Brown.
James Obialor, better known as James Brown became popular after his interview video after his arrest in 2018 went viral with the particular statement ‘they didn’t caught me’. This was just the beginning of his fame as he has gone on to become one of the most popular crossdressers and comedians in the country.
Bobrisky quickly became friends with the ‘new kid on the block’ and he gifted him one hundred thousand nairas after showing solidarity to him during his trial.
“James I’m inspired by you darling cos you came out to tell the world wat u are going through. The day I saw your viral video I was so like who is dis strong guy. Now let me tell u darling….
“Ask me anything I mean your heart desire I’m ready to support u. Let start from 100,000 cash first. Pls find ur way to my house tomorrow pls. I love u die fuck haters let them keep running their mouth,” he said in an Instagram post.
Bobrisky in another post the same day disclosed that he couldn’t wait till the next day, so he invited James Brown and gave him the N100,000 he promised him. He also promised to pay 200,000 every month in his account to take care of his health.
The cross-dressers soon became some sort of mentor and mentee. But their relationship eventually went sour in January 2021, after James Brown alleged that Bobrisky threatened his life over stealing his content.
The self-acclaimed “Princess of Africa” also alleged in the video he posted on Instagram that Bobrisky threatened to ensure he is put behind bars.
But hours after putting out the video, Instagram deactivated his page. He accused Bobrisky of orchestrating the deactivation of his Instagram page.
The cross-dressers have been attacking, each other on Instagram at the slightest provocation since 2020, and the war of words has continued unabated.
The drama started after Bobrisky jokingly asked the Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, to “come and marry” him. The crosser-dresser stormed Benin, the Edo State capital, alongside famous socialite Ehi Ogbebor for an event on Friday, 7th January 2022. And while he was being driven in convoy, he made a video showing his excitement and made an “unguarded” statement about the city’s monarch.
A few hours later, he was chased out of the ancient city.
In a video that went viral, an anonymous male voice was heard saying on no account must Bobrisky be allowed in the state for making a joke about their Oba, adding they had sent Bob out of the state.
Bobrisky later apologised to the Oba and Edo people after he came under heavy fire.
In an Instagram post, he said, “Earlier today, I made a statement about the Oba of Benin and a lot of you didn’t find it funny.
“I know. I’m so sorry. I’m actually a jovial person and I play a lot. I’m here to apologise to the great Oba of Benin and to the palace of Benin, that I am sorry.”
