Recall that the nationwide #ENDSARS protest took place in the month of October, in which the Nigerian youths marched out on streets demanding that the Federal Government put an end to a police unit named SARS, and to also end police brutality as well.
However, the protest was peaceful until hoodlums and political thugs hijacked the peaceful protests and started committing different kinds of crimes.
Following the killings and crisis caused by hoodlums during the protest, President Mohammadu Buhari addressed nigerians and promised to meet their demands, and also urged them to stop all kinds of protest. After the president addressed Nigerians, the protest was suspended.
On Thursday 3rd of December, 2020 dozens of elderly men and women have taken to. The street under the #ENDSARS banner and resumed demonstrations in Lagos.
The elderly people carried placards and we’re demanding for justice for victims of Lekki Tollgate Massacre.
This is to show that the suspended #EndSARS protest has resumed as many Nigerian youths have started protesting online.
Here is what some Nigerian youths are saying as the protest resumes;
menaa said, “they think it’s over? I laugh you people… We can never forget.
