Sanchez gets heroic welcome as Marseille fans excited by player’s arrival

After receiving a hero’s welcome upon his arrival in Marseille on Tuesday, Alexis Sanchez will be playing his football in Ligue 1 the following season.

The Chilean international and Inter Milan mutually decided to end their agreement, enabling him to move to Marseille for free.

After moving permanently to Inter from Manchester United in 2020, Sanchez spent two years on the team’s books.

The 33-year-old forward made 108 appearances for the Italian team, contributing 23 assists, scoring 20 goals, and taking home three trophies, including the Serie A championship in 2020–21.
