Robb Wells: Biography & Early Life
Robb Wells was born on March 20, 1971, in Moncton, New Brunswick and shifted to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia when he was just eight years old. The Globe and Mail reveal to Robb in an article that he is the cousin of Canadian former Prime Minister ‘Stephen Harper.’
career
After high school, Tremblay and Wells ran a chain of pizza places called JR Capone, but they still had an eye for what they loved doing. While running their pizza business, they spent their free time doing comedy sketches of themselves, and after a while they decided to take the bull by the horn and pursue their dreams in the entertainment industry. So in 1998 they ventured into acting and produced a short film called Last Shot which played veteran John Dunsworth. The film did better than expected. It won Best Actor and Best Cinematography.

The next year they did a second one called the Boys trailer park with the likes of Jeanne Harrison, MikeJackson, Lucy Decoutere, Patrick Roach and Cory Bowles. Wells also appeared in the film as Ricky LaFleur. While filming Trailer Park Boys, they struck a deal with Showcase to turn the film into a TV series. In 2004, Wells appeared in the film Virginia’s Run with Dunsworth and Tremblay, playing characters similar to those they played on Trailer Park Boys. In 2009, he appeared in Boondock Saints 2

In 2010 he was in The Drunk and Drug Addicted Happy Fun Time Hour, playing himself alongside his former trailer park Boys comrades. The next year he was in Hobo with a Shotgun as Logan. Later that same year he appeared in the independent film Jackhammer and as a radical Nova Scotian separatist freedom fighter/terrorist in the third season of the FX TV series Archer.
In 2012, Robb Wells, along with his partners, signed the T Railer Park Boys
into a third film, which was released in April 2014 – after a year of filming. That same year, he starred as Father in the horror film Would You Rather. He soon acquired the rights to Trailer Park Boys and made an eighth and ninth season of it, which began airing on SwearNet.com and Netflix. Later that year he wrote, produced and starred in Swearnet alongside his fellow Trailer Park Boys. He is also co-founder of Swearnet.com.
