Beverage products recalled over potential contamination
On July 28th, Lyons Magnus announced that it is pulling 53 beverage drinks from shelves over possible contamination with Cronobacter sakazakii, according to a company statement.
No illnesses or complaints have been reported to this date, the company said, but they decided to recall the drinks due to a group of vulnerable and immunocompromised people who may be more susceptible to infection.
A statement on FDA’s website says: “Anyone who has a recalled product in his or her possession should dispose of it immediately or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
“Consumers in all time zones with questions may contact the Lyons Recall Support Center 24/7 at 1-800-627-0557, or visit its website at www.lyonsmagnus.com. This recall is being conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.”
The company said that the recalled beverages do not include products intended for infants (under the age of one).

Statement from Oatly
Oatly has responded on Twitter following concerns from customers and said that the recall is only related to products packed by Lyons Magnus.
“This issue relates to a limited number of batches from our co-packer Lyons-Magnus and doesn’t impact any other Oatly products,” a Twitter post from the company reads. “We of course take food safety very seriously and are taking the appropriate steps together with them.”
Oatly said that they are happy to verify which products have been recalled if customers email them photos of anything they have at info.us@oatly.com.
Hi Houmi! The recall only applies to our ambient Barista Edition oatmilk made at a specific co-manufacturing site with the best by dates listed in the recall notice.
