President Buhari is likely to watch the second leg of the Nigeria-Ghana match live, according to Sports Minister Dare.

President Muhammadu Buhari may take inspiration from the Super Eagles’ return leg of the 2022 World Cup qualifying playoffs versus Ghana at the MKO Abiola stadium in Abuja.

President Buhari is likely to watch the second leg of the Nigeria-Ghana match live, according to Sports Minister Dare.

Sunday Dare, Nigeria’s Minister of Youth and Sport, confirmed this.

While the president’s attendance in the second leg is not certain, Dare informed NFF TV on March 23 that he will most likely be there.

“I was in Lagos yesterday (Tuesday) and the president (Muhammadu Buhari) asked why I wasn’t in Ghana, and I realized the president is aware of the match.”

“He hasn’t given me a firm commitment, but he’ll most likely turn up here (second leg) on the 29th as a pleasant surprise.”

    Dare has been added.

“We are aware of Ghana’s antics; I’ve gone to school because of the match in Ghana, and when I say I’ve gone to school, I mean I’ve researched Ghana, Kumasi, the games they’ve won, some of their players, and I’ve received every single scouting report.”

“We are fortunate on two counts: the players we have on the field are excellent young men, and we are fortunate with the crew because of the cumulative experience you have on and off the field.”

In Ghana, we’re not going to play a draw; these men should just get out because their legs are now covered.

“So I wish you luck; all I can do is pray and support you; I had to give you a decent pitch here, and I’m delighted they (the players) appreciated it.”

    He said to the players,

“I genuinely appreciate your showing up for Nigeria. We’ve moved on from Cameroon and the African Cup of Nations, and the message after Cameroon is that, if I recall well, I suggested that we should vent our rage on Ghana. We’re not going to Ghana to play for a draw, so do your thing; it’s football.”
