Oshiomhole's suspension: Police take over APC secretariat in Abuja

Some operatives of the Nigeria police on Wednesday, March 4, took over the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja.

This is following a court order suspending the embattled APC chairman pending the determination of a suit asking for his removal.

The police have reportedly taken over the APC secretariat in Abuja following Oshiomhole’s suspension as the party’s chairman.

Wothappen.com gathers that the police directed all the staff of the party to go back to their offices while visitors were advised to vacate the secretariat.

The security measures were allegedly put in place following reported hints that some hoodlums were planning to invade the secretariat.

Meanwhile, in its own version of the report, Daily Trust states that the security operatives invaded the APC secretariat to enforce the judgement which suspended Oshiomhole. It stated in its headline that the police operatives took over Oshiomhole’s office.

The newspaper reported that the police officers arrived at the party’s secretariat in about nine trucks to forestall any breakdown of law and order.
