Another top leader dump ruling party as crisis rock APC

If the All Progressives Congress (APC) must survive, then Adams Oshiomhole must not remain its national chairman, the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) has declared.

The party also asked Buhari to beware of Oshiomhole because of his alleged activities, which the body said, is capable of derailing the party.

The umbrella of political bodies, in the warning to President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling APC, said through a statement by its secretary-general, Chief Willy Ezugwu, that Oshiomhole’s recent statement that nobody would be allowed to govern Bayelsa after the Supreme Court ruling, makes him inconsistent and dangerous.

The CNPP noted that Oshiomhole is known to have taken many impulsive decisions, especially in order to save face in his obvious attempt to act more confidently and in control than he really is.

The body warned that there is nothing that can easily hurt the party than its kind of leadership.

“It is clear that the loss of Zamfara, Rivers and now Bayelsa state is not too good testimonies of his leadership as it portrays the party as lacking in internal democracy,” the CNPP said.

The coalition of political parties said it had become obvious that Nigerians are getting tired of Oshiomhole’s activities which it likened to comedy.

It warned that the ruling political group would pay dearly for not taking quick action if the national chairman is allowed to continue making alleged unguarded utterances.

The CNPP added: “We cannot forget his infamous call on corrupt politicians to join his party for their “sins” to be forgiven.”
