Olympique Marseille sign Tavares on loan from Arsenal

French Ligue 1 side, Olympique Marseille have signed Nuno Tavares from English Premier League club, Arsenal on a one-year deal. 

According to popular transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, Olympique Marseille have completed all the paperworks for the deal with the North London club.

He said the Portuguese left-back will arrive in Marseille on Friday morning for medicals, and afterwards sign the contract.

On Thursday night,  Romano tweeted; “Olympique Marseille have completed paperworks for Nuno Tavares deal with Arsenal. #AFC #OM

Nuno will arrive in Marseille on Friday morning;

Medical tests during the day then he will sign contract;

Loan move until June 2024, no buy option, OM will cover salary.”

Realising he made a mistake about the loan duration in his earlier tweet, Romano wrote, “Loan until June 2023* of course, as reported today – also because two year is no longer valid”.
