The second league of the World Cup 2022 was held between Ghana and Nigeria on March 29, 2022, in Abuja, Nigeria.
Although the match ended in a draw, Ghana had an away goal at the end of the game, which qualified them for the World Cup automatically.
In a video that has gone viral, some enraged Nigerians who couldn’t accept or accept that they had been excluded from the World Cup began wreaking havoc on the field.
Apart from the pandemonium, some Nigerians have blamed President Muhammadu Buhari of bringing ill luck to the Super Eagles and the country as a whole.
These were some of the responses to Twitter.
@firstladyship, “It’s no coincidence that the Super Eagles lost against the Ghana Black Stars and failed to qualify for the World Cup. Sports, the economy, education, foreign policy, and security are just a few examples. Everything went to hell in a handbasket. During Buhari’s presidency, Nigeria did not host any international football tournaments. Get out your ballots and vote intelligently this time.”
“Ghana overcame Nigeria to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup,” writes @Illanawoeldwide. @MBuhari is a knucklehead. The @NGSuperEagles were unable to fly. There is far too much blood in the land. God is furious. To save the Indigenous People from this tragedy, dissolve the amalgamation of 1914.”
@gqokeke, “We’re combating corruption, and the President has a bogus WAEC certificate.” Yours is a country that neither manufactures pencils nor teaches history to its children.
