Nancy Shevell is an American businesswoman and the Vice President for Administration of the Shevell Group of Companies, a transportation conglomerate owned by her family. She was born on November 20, 1959, in Edison, New Jersey, USA.
She attended Arizona State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Transportation, after which she joined her father’s trucking company, New England Motor Freight (NEMF). She began as a truck driver and later became a Vice President. She has served as the Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority since 2017, where she has played a notable role in disaster response and recovery efforts.
Nancy Shevell is also known for her relationship with Sir Paul McCartney, former member of the Beatles, whom she married in 2011. She has a son from her previous marriage, and McCartney has four children from his previous marriages.
Along with her husband, Shevell is actively involved in various philanthropic activities, supporting causes such as animal rights, music education, and breast cancer research.
