Nigerians’ reactions to new CBN orders to banks

Bashir Ahmad, the special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on digital communication took to his Twitter page to share the news and Nigerians took to the comment session to express their views on the new order.

A Twitter user with the handle @mattsalako706 said:

“The CBN is confused about the policy they introduced. They have used to cause hardship in the country. This is so sad!”

Another Nigerian identified as Yusuf said:

“The implementation of this policy has turned out to be the most chaotic economic policy implementation in the history of this country. It’ll be grand naivety to suggest this wasn’t done with a sinister political aim.”

DaRock @ADDEY203 said:

“CBN’s confusion is even confused”! Reversing itself every now and then… this smirks of hasty, not-well-thought-out decisions. Even this will not solve the issue.”

Foluso replied:

“As usual, policy somersaults. The same man had a running battle with Kemi Adeosun while she was finance minister, and a lingering cold war btw him and the current minister.”

Mechi said:

“Has directed? It should be implemented with immediate effect, not just me but the majority going through daily life struggle just not to be able to have access to their own cash again ..: not even to mention about the fuel scarcity, what a heck of a country. Terrible government.”

Naira scarcity: Governor Nasir El-Rufai reveals saboteurs in Buhari’s government

WOTHAPPEN earlier reported that Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state has revealed that there are saboteurs around President Muhammadu Buhari in Aso Rock.

El-Rufai disclosed that the saboteurs have their preferred presidential candidate who failed to clinch the APC presidential ticket but failed to win at the primary.

According to the governor, the naira redesign by the CBN has inflicted more hardship on the people, particularly in the rural area and could turn the people against Tinubu.
