Kanu and Mikel Obi recognized as Drogba, Mahrez top list of African players who have won EPL multiple times

Nwankwo Kanu and John Obi Mikel, both Nigerians, are on the list of African players who have won the Premier League multiple times.

After Manchester City clinched their 4th league crown in 5 seasons, Riyad Mahrez has shot to the top of the lists of Africans who have won multiple English Premier League titles.

Mahrez started for Manchester City but was forced to come off after the Citizens came back from two goals down to beat Aston Villa 3-2 at the Etihad Stadium.

According to Goal, the Algerian has now joined Ivorian legend Didier Drogba at the top of the list, having won the English Premier League four times in their respective careers.

Yaya Toure, who has won the English Premier League three times, is also on the list of Africans who have won the league.

Other African players who have won the Premier League twice in their careers include Nwankwo Kanu, John Obi Mikel, and Michael Essien.
