Jasha Lottin and dead horse story explained
In 2011, internet users were horrified after coming across graphic images of a naked woman inside a dead horse. As reported by HuffPost at the time, Jasha Lottin and her partner John Frost put their 32-year-old horse down due to its poor health.
The couple shot and gutted the animal, the outlet reports, but their next decision was how their story made headlines across the internet.
Jasha stripped naked, climbed inside the dead horse and had pictures taken before those images were published on the internet.
The viral pictures are too graphic to show here but many people complained about them at the time, warning others not to search for Jasha’s name on the internet.

Pictures led to police investigation
Jasha and John’s viral story led to a police investigation amid fears of animal cruelty. According to a police report obtained by HuffPost, authorities didn’t bring charges against the couple because their actions weren’t deemed illegal in Oregon.
“The fact this woman crawled into the horse between killing and eating does not constitute a crime,” Washington County sergeant Dave Thompson told the outlet.
“If they had killed the horse just for the purpose of taking the photographs, we would have had a case for animal cruelty.”
The publication added Jasha and John both left Oregon after their story received nationwide notoriety and death threats.
