Once the leg is secured, complete with sock and shoe, it’s time for the baby to take his first steps.

He stands up and is a little wobbly at first, but a woman in the background helps step his feet and secures his waist.

Truett then takes a step on his own and has a huge smile on his face as he admires some bubbles being blown.

Truett’s parents document him on TikTok

Truett’s parents started documenting his journey on TikTok in August after he had to have amputation surgery.

“This is my son Truett. He was born with a rare congenital birth defect in his leg requiring us to amputate his lower leg,” his mother explained in the first video.

“There is nothing that is going to slow him down,” she added with pride as the amputation wasn’t holding him back.

Other videos show him climbing the stairs, standing on one leg playing with his toys and attending his first prosthetic session.
