Gianna Bryant’s middle school retires her jersey number 2

Following the death of Gianna Bryant, her school, Harbor Day School, has presented a touching tribute to the star athlete. According to Complex, students, faculty and teachers presented the tribute on Wednesday, February 5.

Wothappen.com gathers that Gianna’s middle school basketball coaches shared some anecdotes that highlighted her commitment to the sport.

One of the coaches announced the retirement of Gianna’s jersey number 2. The coach said: “She will be the last person to wear the No. 2 for a Seahawks basketball team,” one of the coaches said.

“We hope that when you look at her jersey hanging in our gym, you will remember Gianna and be inspired to work hard and be passionate about whatever your interest is.”

Gianna’s music teacher Yunga Webb said the star athlete was humble despite being affiliated and close to major contributors of the world.
