EPL: Man Utd grab first win of the season over Liverpool

Manchester United survived Liverpool‘s late fightback at Old Trafford on Monday night, to grab their first three points of the season.

Goals from Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford ensured that the Erik ten Hag‘s side record their first win in the Premier League this season.

On the other hand, Liverpool goalkeeper, Alisson’s clean sheet was wiped out.

Sancho scored the brilliant opener 16 minutes into the game, sitting down James Milner and Alisson in the build-up.

Rashford extended United’s lead in the 53rd minute after he was set up by Anthony Martial.

Liverpool reduced the deficit 28 minutes later through Mo Salah‘s sublime header. United Goalkeeper, David De Gea saved Fabio Carvalho’s fierce shot, but Mo Salah headed home the rebound.

Jürgen Klopp‘s men continued to push for more goals but were denied by the resilient Man U defence.
