“Economy Destroyed” – Nigerians React As President Buhari Reopens Four Land Borders

President Buhari has faced the backlash of Nigerians, following his announcement about the reopening of some land borders in Nigeria.

He made this disclosure amid a meeting with the Federal Council on 16th of December 2020. This got Nigerians furious to react to his decision to make things clearer. Some people asked if reopening the borders would decrease the price of rice and make living better.

Others also asked if the economy in Nigeria had become better. Questions about if Nigeria had become self-sufficient in the production of rice were raised. They indicated that beans and catfish can not be exported from the country.
However, some lamented the fact that NIMC’s readiness to capture Nigerians is what breaks their hearts. The reopening of the border would be done by the end of December. However, enjoying the cheap prices of rice and some products can only begin afterward.

The borders were closed in order to stop the importation and exportation of illegal goods in and out of the country.

WHAT IS THE ACTUAL AIM NOW? HAS THE ECONOMY BECOME BETTER? HAVE WE MAINTAINED SELF SUFFICIENCY IN RICE? HAS OUR EXPORT NET IMPROVED? DO YOU ALL KNOW THAT WE CAN’T EXPORT BEANS AND CATFISH ANYMORE? AND AGAIN, DID NIMC READY TO CAPTURE ALL NIGERIANS? SOME MANY QUESTIONS BUT BROKEN HEARTBROKEN HEART
