Nigerian boxer, Elizabeth Oshoba won Silver in the women’s Boxing over 54kg-57kg Featherweight, on Sunday, at the ongoing Commonwealth Games, in Birmingham, England.
She clinched the Silver medal after losing 5-0 to Michaela Walsh in the finals.
Despite the defeat, she gave a Solid performance against her very tough opponent.
Earlier, Ese Brume won a Gold medal for Nigeria in the women’s long jump event.
She pulled up two games records, jumping 7.00m to reclaim her Commonwealth Games crown.
World record holder and champion, Tobi Amusan also won a Gold medal in the women’s hurdle.
Team Nigeria has won more medals in women’s competitions.
