Buju lands in trouble for assaulting police officer

Nigerian afro-fusion sensation, BNXN, fka Buju, is in fresh trouble as the Nigeria Police is set to invite him for questioning for assaulting an officer of the force.

The ‘Finesse‘ singer had bragged about assaulting a police officer.

Taking to his Twitter page, BNXN wrote; “Spat in a police officers face and it so good.”

The singer had since deleted the tweet.

However, the spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the singer would “surely answer” for assaulting an officer of the law.

Hundeyin in a tweet on Wednesday, explained that the police officers will be sanctioned for their misconduct if established, adding that nevertheless, BNXN would be interrogated for his assault on a police officer.

He wrote; “@BNXN proudly tweeted that he ‘spat in [sic] a police officer’s face and it felt so good.’ He has since deleted the tweet. The police officers will be sanctioned for their misbehavior if established, while @BNXN will surely answer for his assault on a police officer.”
